Xavier Boscher is a French musician of Metal, Progressive Rock and New Age born December 23, 1979 in Poissy (Yvelines, France), known for his work as lead guitarist in the group Misanthrope on the album "Immortal" in 2001 and also his many musical projects as Nebuleyes, Magnific Senses, Ultra Virtual Prog Band, Tirao and his solo albums ...

Born to a piano teacher mother and a father doctor, publicist and journalist, he began piano at the age of 10 to 14 years and then discovered what became his favorite instrument: the guitar.

After making his debut in a cover band and having forged his first compositions in a group of technical metal, he joined Horresco Referens at age of 16, in which he recorded his first album "The Cesspit "and connects its first concerts.

Two years later, Misanthrope one of the largest French metal band, invited him to become the new soloist on "Recueils d'Ecueils..." and "Immortal" album... European tour with Septic Flesh will be a huge success and thousands of albums will be sold in Europe, Japan, Brazil and Russia, where the group is known.

Meanwhile, Xavier invited guitarist Thomas Leroy to participate in his project ephemeral Twins on the album "Hymn to Hymen" where you can listen to the guitar shred.

Despite the success, Xavier has a desire to explore new horizons and founded the band Nebuleyes with his friend Benjamin Masson. He also began writing new material for future projects.

The first Nebuleyes album "Digital EnfanT" was released in 2003 at Cocoon Studio, a theatrical concept album of 12 songs sung in French. The story develops the first episode in a saga of science fiction that Xavier began to write: Worldomania.

The second album of Nebuleyes "Divine Revolution" was released in 2004 with the title song composed in 10 parts for a total of more than thirty minutes of Progressive Metal ...

After a break for family reasons and the birth of his daughter, Xavier meets a publisher, Jacques Dejean from Plaza Mayor Company, an international publisher who opened the doors of the digital market.

He took the opportunity to release his first solo album "A Part of Utopia" in 2006, a cocktail of strings, melodic guitars and synthetic environments very "New Age". The album is distributed for the first time on all digital stores like iTunes or emusic on Plaza Mayor Company Ltd label.

In 2007, the year of the birth of his son, he released his second album "Musical Journey" which offers an invitation to the music of Xavier around the world a bit like "world music" but always tinged new age and rock progressive.

Highly prolific, he released his third album in 2008: "Guitamorphosis" and a fourth in 2009, "Hydrologic", however for the latter he left his editor to create the label: "Orfeo'Lab" to better control the release of his albums but also to gather under the same independent label its many projects.

In late 2009, Nebuleyes released his third album "The Universal Being" with the presence of an opera female singer Drama Elfamorta who offers to the group a symphonic color to its unique progressive metal. The album is so far the masterpiece of Nebuleyes and also a best seller...

Follow the project Ultra Virtual Prog Band album and "Sphere of Knowledge", with 8 instrumental songs, mix of progressive rock and melodic technique.

2010 is a year of success with no less than seven outings for the young label Orfeo'Lab whose compilation "Orfeo'Lab 2010" where we find the best of the many projects of Xavier, Magnific Senses "Elemental Goddess" album and fifth solo album "Love Energy" follow... The same year, his friend the French luthier Pierre-Marie Chateauneuf made him a Signature Model Guitars called PMC XAV.

Tout pour la musique...

Le métal mène décidement à tout ou presque. Surtout si l'on regarde le parcours tonitruant de Xavier Boscher jeune auteur-compositeur qui, sans jamais renier ses racines dans le hard-core, n'a de cesse de se réinventer au fil des albums. Retour sur l'un des jeunes talents de la scène musicale, à découvrir et à suivre de toute urgence.

Au commencement était la tentation pop music. Version Obispo, découvert en route, ou Goldman, mais plus encore Berger... Oui, le songwriter français au talent mélodique insolent, auteur-compositeur de "Starmania", chanteur de "la Groupie du pianiste" et créateur -pour sa muse France Gall- de "Tout pour la musique" auquel le titre de ce portrait fait explicitement référence.

Tous ont très manifestement inspiré Xavier Boscher, mais on devrait y ajouter un telle variété d'artistes convoqués à son chevet que le temps ne suufirait pas. On pourra toutefois évoquer, en plus de ces trois pointures de la grande variété des années 70 à 2000, une autre inspiration qui vient de plus loin, avec les grands compositeurs du classique, Mozart ou Wagner. Ainsi que Ennio Morricone que lui a fait découvrir son cousin journaliste ou Vangelis...

Comme chez George Lucas qui s'est très largement inspiré de l'univers des "Niebelungen" pour créer son légendaire "Star Wars", le jeune auteur-compositeur est "hanté" par l'idéal opératique et se plait, lui aussi, à revisiter le concept de saga. Avec talent, en l'occurrence, et en musique, même si l'oreille doit être bien préparée pour appréhender toute la subtilité distillée dans son chef d'oeuvre ,"Nebuleyes".

Né le 23 décembre 1979, Xavier Boscher a baigné dans la musique, avec une mère tellement férue de piano qu'elle en est devenue professeur. Mais, avant Chopin, Michael Jackson et le Top 50 sont sa première nourriture. Puis ce sera le métal, avec notamment Iron Maiden, Dream Theater et Cynic. Une passion qu'il ne délaissera pas, y revenant sans cesse, même quand sa créativité dépassera les limites du genre, lorgnant du .

Guitariste accompli à 14 ans, il rejoint son premier groupe, Horresco Referens en 97 et l'année suivante, Misanthrope,"the best french metal band",d'après plusieurs spécialistes du genre. Autant dire que son talent n'a guère mis de temps à se faire repérer, même si, décidé à explorer de nouveaux horizons, il se lance en solo...D'abord de manière "classique", avec "Heterosensuel", une mine de perles pop délicatement ciselées à redécouvrir.

Et puis, le temps est venu de faire voler en éclat les barrières. Xavier Boscher lance Nebuleyes avec son ami Benjamin Masson. Du métal progressif d'avant-garde, avec l'album "Digital EnfanT" en 2002-2003 et "Revolution Divine" en 2004. C'est le grand tournant de sa jeune carrière, en même temps qu'une rencontre décisive côté coeur qui, depuis 2001, lui a donné des ailes...et des bébés.

"A Part of Utopia" qui sort en 2006 est marqué par ces heureux évènements en rafale, avec un cocktail new-age de mélodies à la guitare se répondant avec des cordes subtiles. "Musical Voyage", "Hydrologic" et la suite de son odyssée "Nebuleyes" -cette musique-là devrait être remboursée par la sécurité sociale- posent cette question : jusqu'où ira Xavier Boscher? Loin, c'est sûr, et on est franchement impatient d'entendre la suite...
